Tenly features: a goal journal built on the 10 goals method

Everything in Tenly serves one five-minute morning ritual: write your 10 goals from memory, pick the one that matters most, and let your real priorities come into focus.

Magic Wand goal: the one that matters most

After you write your goals each morning, you pick one Magic Wand goal: the goal that would have the biggest positive impact on your life if it came true today.

Choosing one forces a decision. Over weeks and months, your AI reports show which goal you pick most often and how that choice shifts.

  • Chosen fresh every morning
  • One clear priority for the day
  • Tracked over time in your AI reports

30-day lockout: write from memory, not from a copy

Past goal entries are hidden for 30 days, so you can't copy yesterday's list. Each morning you write your goals from memory, the way the method intends.

Goals you keep forgetting quietly drop off. The ones that come back day after day are the ones you truly want.

  • Past goal entries hidden for 30 days
  • Nothing to copy from yesterday
  • Your list narrows to what matters

Daily affirmation journal for your goals

Each morning you write up to 10 goals for the next 12 months, in the present tense, as if they were already true: "I run a half marathon in under 2 hours", not "I want to run more".

Written this way, every goal becomes a daily affirmation and a clear picture of the result. Tenly guides the format, so you can focus on what you want.

  • Up to 10 goals a day
  • Present tense, as if already achieved
  • Goals for the next 12 months

Evening Review: re-read your goals before sleep

Between 20:00 and 23:00, the Evening Review shows today's goals in a calm, read-only view. A notification tells you when it opens.

It takes about a minute. Reading your goals again at night ends the day with the same priorities you started it with.

  • Open from 20:00 to 23:00
  • Read-only, nothing to edit
  • A notification when it opens

Gratitude journal next to your goals

Write up to 20 things you are grateful for each day, right next to your goals. Gratitude keeps a streak of its own, so both habits grow together.

With Pro, the weekly Gratitude Reflection unlocks your past week once a week (Sunday by default) with an AI analysis of its themes, and a goals × gratitude analysis looks at both side by side.

  • Up to 20 entries a day
  • Its own gratitude streak
  • Weekly Gratitude Reflection with Pro

Goal tracker with streaks and milestones

Your streak counts the consecutive days you write an entry. Tenly celebrates milestones at 10, 30, 90 and 365 days, so every morning adds to something you can see.

The progress screen shows your month at a glance, your current streak and your completion rate, and a streak warning reminds you when your streak is at risk.

  • Milestones at 10, 30, 90 and 365 days
  • Month view and completion rate
  • Streak warning reminder

Wins: a record of what you achieve

Goals point forward; Wins look back. Log each achievement in one of 16 built-in categories or in categories you create.

A yearly summary shows everything you achieved in one place. On the days when progress feels slow, it shows you how far you have already come this year.

  • 16 built-in categories, plus your own
  • Yearly summary
  • Works without AI

AI goal reports from your own journal

After 10 days of writing, Tenly shows early insights. From then on, a free monthly report shows your most consistent goals, your top categories, how your priorities shift and other trends.

Tenly is an AI journal app only if you want it to be: AI runs only after you give consent. Pro adds weekly insights, full report history and PDF export.

  • Weekly insights, report history and PDF export with Pro

Ask AI about your goals, gratitude and wins Pro

Ask questions about your own journal, like "Which goals do I repeat most?", and get answers drawn from your goals, gratitude entries and wins.

Ask AI is part of Tenly Pro, with up to 30 questions a month. Questions and answers are not saved after you close the screen.

  • Answers from your own entries
  • Up to 30 questions a month
  • Not saved after you close the screen

Reminders that keep the ritual going

A morning reminder (7:00 by default) prompts you to write your goals, a notification tells you when the Evening Review opens, and a streak warning helps you keep your streak.

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. You can change them or turn them off at any time in the app's settings.

  • Morning reminder, 7:00 by default
  • Evening Review notification
  • Streak warning

iCloud sync and privacy

Your journal is stored on your iPhone and, if iCloud is on for Tenly, synced to your private iCloud account. We can't access your iCloud data and don't run our own database of your journal.

Entries are sent for AI analysis only after you give consent, and our proxy doesn't store them. Goals, gratitude, streaks, the Evening Review and Wins all work without AI.

  • On your device and in your private iCloud
  • AI only with your consent
  • We don't ask for your name or email
  • iPhone with iOS 18 or later
